Elodie, Business/Office Manager

Business/Office Manager Elodie started working at Valley Veterinary Clinic in 1987. She worked until 1997 when she and her family moved to Australia for three and a half years. On returning to Farmington in 2000, Elodie came back to Valley Veterinary Clinic and has been there ever since.

Her husband Les, son Clint, and dog Bruno make up the rest of her family. Elodie enjoys the challenge of being a numbers cruncher and assisting Dr. Woodson and Dr. Alvarez with practice management.

Cheryl, Registered Veterinary Technician

Cheryl has been a registered veterinary technician for over 30 years. She has been at Valley Veterinary Clinic for the last 20 years. She councils people with pet behavior problems and teaches dog obedience classes. In her free time, Cheryl trains and shows her Golden Retrievers in obedience, conformation and field work. She has two daughters, Kirsten and Jennifer.

Sarah Wood, Veterinary Assistant

Sarah has been with our staff since August of 1999.  She was hired as cleaning staff and over the years has quickly advanced to assisting the doctors with surgeries, appointments, and clerical duties.  She is a true asset to our technician staff!  Sarah is a graduate of Aztec High School and has continued her education through college courses and continuing education seminars.  Her hobbies and interests include her family, reading, hiking through the mountains, animals, fishing, and of course chocolate!!  Her home is shared with her animals and her 2 boys.

Mandy, Registered Vet Tech 

 Mandy came back to us after leaving to attend Veterinary Technician college in Albuquerque.  It's great to have her back.

Corey, Receptionist 

Corey grew up in Orange County, CA and graduated from California Polytechnic University  in 2005.  She began working at Valley Veterinary Clinic in August of 2006 because she loves helping and working with animals.  She likes the quality and standard of care given by the doctors and staff at Valley Veterinary Clinic.  Corey enjoys reading, camping, and other outdoor activities if she's not barrel racing or roping with her four horses.  She and her husband, Brandon, also have four dogs, one cat, and two donkeys. 

Mitzi, Veterinary Assistant

A Farmington native, Mitzi graduated from Farmington High School in 1991.  In November 2005 she began working at Valley Veterinary Clinic.  She enjoys working here, surrounded by a family-like staff when she's not home with her family or outdoors.  Mitzi grew up wanting to save all animals, influencing her decision to become a Valley Veterinary Clinic employee. 

Jamie, Veterinary Assistant

Jamie graduated in Farmington in 2000.  She joined the Valley Veterinary Clinic team in 2007 because she likes science and animals and loves learning new things.  She enjoys working at Valley Veterinary Clinic because she has learned useful skills, met great clients, met fun animals, and is surrounded by great co-workers and veterinarians.  Jamie and her husband, Mark, have four dogs, four cats, one tortoise and any number of foster dogs or cats looking for homes.  In her spare time, Jamie likes to read and participate in dog rescue and training. 

Jered, Veterinary Assistant

Jered grew up in Farmington and Houston.  He graduated from Piedra Vista in 2001 and joined the Valley Veterinary Team around 2008.  He likes to help animals and his favorite part of working in the field of veterinary medicine is surgery.  He and his wife live with one dog, 20 snakes, and two birds.  He enjoys outdoor activites when he's not working.  

Samantha, Veterinary Assistant

Samantha is also a recent re-hire of Valley Vet.  Some people just can't stay away!  She moved to Denver about 3 years ago as a single gal looking for aventure and then recently moved back with a husband and daughter.  She enjoys manuscript illumination, parsing verbs, and deconstructing poetry.

Becca, Assistant

Becca has lived in Farmington her whole life. She plans on going to college in the fall. She enjoys working at Valley because she loves animals

Stephanie, Assistant

Stephanie is one of our assistants. She is a great hand. She helps in our boarding and is always ready to lend a helping hand where ever it maybe. She also keeps the place looking good and makes sure we are fully stocked so we can get started with our busy day.

Alisha, Kennel Assistant

Isn't that just the cutest senior picture ever?  Alisha has been working with us for a few years and has been great seeing her knowledge of veterinary medicine grow.  She is attending San Juan College and is working towards completing her veterinary technician degree.  She loves animals and wants to continue working with them.

Moxi, Lazy Employee 

For those of you who wonder...yes, she is still around, and is still just the lazy clinic cat. She enjoys spending her time downstairs hiding from the staff and annoying Elodie when she is busy. From time to time she makes an appearance in the treatment area, again just to annoy whoever she can and to get into what trouble she can. We love her .
