Overview

Husbandry is extremely important for the successful livelihood of your exotic or avian family member. Our patients at Valley Veterinary Clinic Pet Lodge and Salon, Inc. include:

• Ferrets

• Rabbits

• Rodents

• Birds

• Reptiles

Exotics do not include primates or wild birds. If you are considering purchasing a reptile or caged bird, be sure to research the proper environment, diet, heating elements, cleaning products, and adult size before jumping in. We understand their unique health needs and can provide diagnostic, therapeutic, and surgical services, as well as counseling on nutrition, behavior, and general care.

We will educate you and give you handouts about whatever species you have. It is important to remember that any lethargy or change of behavior is significant and to get your exotic in ASAP as they do not have the resilience of a dog or cat.
