Tell us a little bit about yourself.

Dr. Courtney Moore is a native to Colorado. She attended Colorado State University for her undergraduate and supported the Rams as a Co-ed cheerleader. During her junior year of college she met her now husband, Justin. She moved to his home town for 4 years where she was a veterinarian’s assistant. Finally she graduated Kansas State University’s college of Veterinary Medicine as a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in May 2020. her interests while attending school included surgery (both soft tissue and orthopedic), dentistry, advanced imaging, and pain management.

Our Motto is “Our Family Serving Your Family,” what does that mean to you?

In recent decades companion animals have moved into our homes and taken over our hearts. They have woven themselves into our families so much that they are sometimes referred to as fur family, and I for one couldn’t be happier. The human animal bond is so amazing that not only do the pets benefit from the increased care they are receiving, but the client is also benefiting in numerous ways (decreased blood pressure, better immune responses, etc.) including companionship. It is an honor to be included as part of your extended families healthcare and I will aim to treat them as my own fur family with every interaction.

What are your personal interests? Hobbies?

When Dr. Courtney isn’t at work she enjoys doing arts and crafts. She is best at drawing and painting, but has been known to try her hand at other things. She also enjoys hunting large and small game animals, especially because two of her fur family members have a bird hunting addiction. Dot and Leroy are ecstatic when they find some quail. She looks forward to providing the same high level of medicine that Valley Vet has become known for in the community.
